Guzel is Gutted

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a raise to 2,500 and a call, Anthony Rodrigues three-bet to 7,500 from the cutoff and Soner Guzel moved all in for 20,000 from one seat over. The initial raiser as well as the player who flat-called both mucked their cards and Rodrigues called with pocket queens. Guzel only had pocket tens and couldn't find any help within the community cards.

Peisert Back on Track

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jörg Peisert won with {A-} {K-} against {K-} {J-} and added many smaller pots to boost his stack. He was then involved in a hand with Karim Benamrouche, who had flatted his raise and saw a flop of {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. After the {9-Diamonds} turn all chips went in and Peisert held the {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} whereas Benamrouche had gotten a nice turn card for his {J-Spades} {5-Spades}.

The {8-Spades} river ensured the split pot and Peisert said to his opponent "you are a lucky lucky guy," obviously referring to the second nine that had paired the board.

Almost back to Starting Stack

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Martin Mulsow won his entry to the Main Event in yesterday's Satellite and was down all the way to 9,000 after slowly but surely climbing up again. The German beer passionate is now up to almost starting stack again and faces stiff competition from Erwann Pecheux one seat over.

Lauck Flushes Zouitene

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Oussama Zouitene limped from the cutoff and Jonas Lauck called in the small blind, Bert Geens checked his option in the big blind. On a flop of {J-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}, Lauck check-raised from 2,600 to 7,500 and called the shove of Zouitene with {6-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. His opponent held {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} but was drawing dead after the {8-Diamonds} turn already. A meaningless {5-Diamonds} river completed the board and Zouitene wasn't too happy about the way the hand played out.

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a raise to 2,500, Patrick van den Dries shoved from the button for 21,100. Mohamed Mamouni decided to call from the small blind and the initial raiser folded. van den Dries won the flip with {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} versus {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} on a board of {10-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {4-Clubs}.

Brian Benhamou

In a battle of the blinds, Brian Benhamou raised and was called by his opponent from one seat over. Benhamou made a continuation bet on a flop of {Q-} {9-} {4-} and the remainder of his short stack went in after a {7-} turn. The Frenchman had {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for an open ended straight draw whereas his opponent's {K-} {9-} held up after a brick on the river.

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jörg Peisert
Jörg Peisert

After a raise to 1,800 preflop, three players called and Jörg Peisert checked out of the blinds to see a flop of {8-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. Mohamed Mamouni bet, Michel Leibgorin raised and Peisert reraised to 17,900. Maouni now moved all in and Leibgorin folded, claiming in chat he had a straight and flush draw. Peisert called with {8-} {7-} for bottom two pair and Maouni held the {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}.

The {Q-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but Mamouni let out a loud "YESSSS YESSSS YESSSS" when the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river, giving him the nut flush.
