Ten Cate Bests Salter

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Louis Salter, Jack Salter's little brother, won a side event here in Amsterdam during the Master Classics of Poker last November for €46,919. He must have had good memories of this casino, but he isn't of to a great start so far here today.

Just now the cutoff opened and Salter three-bet to 1,200 from the small blind. Big blind Jonas ten Cates cold four-bet to 2,700 and just Salter made the call.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Salter check-called a bet of again 2,700. Salter checked again on the {7-Clubs} turn and Ten Cate checked behind this time. The {Q-Diamonds} hit the river and Salter checked for the third time in a row. Ten Cate bet 5,250 and Salter called.

Ten Cate showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for the rivered top-pair, Salter mucked. "Nice to run like this" Ten Cate smiled to his table mates Jolmer Meelis and Pascal Vos.
