Michael Zhang opened to 160,000 from under the gun and Dajie Zhuo called as Ryan Plant came along in the big blind.
Action checked to Zhuo on the flop of Q♦2♥5♣ and he bet 150,000. Plant called and Zhang check-raised to 640,000. Zhuo called and Plant folded.
Zhang checked on the 8♥ turn and Zhuo bet 600,000. Zhang laid it down.
Chao Li opened to 175,000 and Hongjun Zhao three-bet to 475,000 thereafter. The shove by Li followed and Zhao called all-in for 1,745,000.

The slightly superior pocket pair remained all the way on the 4♥3♦2♥A♦Q♣ board to secure the double for Zhao.
Igor Yaroshevskyy made it 175,000 to go and then called the all-in of Konstantin Voronin, who had been the chip leader after Day 1b but was now at risk for only 765,000.

Martin Sedlak opened to 1690,000 and Thore Boedefeld called in the cutoff. Igor Yaroshevskyy three-bet to 700,000 and it folded back to Boedefeld, who jammed for 3.2 million to get called by the larger stack of Yaroshevskyy.

The classic flip went to Yaroshevskyy thanks to a board of 7♠7♣4♦4♥A♥ when the ace fell on the river.
Shaoshuai Li raised it up to 160,000 first to act and his table neighbour Trung Hieu Nguyen three-bet to 500,000 by sliding forward one stack of grey chips. It folded back to Li who moved all-in with his massive stack and Nguyen snap-called for 1,620,000.

The J♥5♠4♠J♠J♦ board kept the aces ahead all the way and Li suffered a setback.
It all started rather innocent with an under-the-gun min raise to 160,000 by Chun Yu Ma and a flat-call by Yang Wang in the hijack, which also brought Jesse Lonis in the big blind along. The A♥K♠4♥ flop was checked to Ma who bet 225,000. Only Wang called and they checked the K♣ on the turn.
That brought the 7♣ on the river on which Ma checked. Wang bet 550,000 to then call the check-shove for 1.9 million with the marginally covering stack.
Ma showed the 10♣9♣ for a bluff gone wrong and Wang claimed the pot with A♦J♦ for aces and kings.
Chuanshu Chen opened to 175,000 in early position and Mingcong Chen three-bet jammed for 4,700,000 in the cutoff. Chen called with a stack of 1,200,000.

Chen couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out Q♠10♥4♦7♦4♥ to give Chen queens and fours as Chen was sent to the rail.
Down to only 485,000 in chips with the big blind coming in two hands, Yiwen Yuan pushed all-in and found a single customer in Alexey Borovkov out of the big blind.

The two live cards of Borovkov connected with the A♥K♥8♦ flop but Yuan remained in the lead. Nothing changed on the 7♣ turn but the K♣ river brought an end to Yuan's tournament run.
Emilien Pitavy opened to 160,000 in the cutoff and Jia-Chi Li defended her big blind to the 6♥4♦3♣ flop. She then led for 160,000 and Pitavy raised to 470,000, Li jammed and Pitavy called.

The overpair held strong on the 7♣ turn and 4♠ river, eliminating Li in 89th place.
Jing Sun got a short stack in with the 9♣9♦ and saw himself dominated by the Q♥Q♠ of Junhao Hong. The Q♦7♣5♦ flop left Sun in desperate shape and the J♥ turn sealed his fate to make the K♥ river a formality.
