2025 Triton ONE Jeju
Earlier today, Niklas Deitmer finished as the runner-up in Event #2 $3,000 Triton ONE QQPK for a huge score of $327,000 and he then jumped into the late stages of the $8,000 Triton ONE Main Event. Within two hands, his stack vanished over on table 18.
Pingfeng Wu raised to 25,000 and Winfred Yu three-bet to 65,000, Deitmer jammed for 284,000 and Wu folded while Yu called all-in for 277,000.
Winfred Yu: A♦A♠
Niklas Deitmer: A♠K♥
The J♦10♥2♦3♥5♠ board spelled no trouble for Yu and he held in for the double.
One hand later, Deitmer was all-in for the last 7,000 and Park Yu Cheung in the small blind limped in. Joshua McCully raised to 44,000 from the big blind and isolated.
Niklas Deitmer: Q♥Q♣
Joshua McCully: K♦3♠
The 9♣3♣3♥6♣8♥ board gave McCully trips treys to end Deitmer's run on Day 1a.
Dylan Foster opened to 24,000 in the cutoff and Tom Fuchs three-bet jammed a stack of 187,000 on the button. Johan Schultz-Pedersen re-shoved a slightly bigger stack in the small blind and Foster folded.
Tom Fuchs: 8♣8♦
Johan Schultz-Pedersen: A♣Q♣
Schultz-Pedersen took a big lead on the flop of 3♣6♥A♦ and nothing changed on the 10♣4♦ runout to mark Fuchs' elimination.
First to act, Stephen Chidwick moved all-in for 162,000 and he was called by Tan Kean Wei in the cutoff.
Stephen Chidwick: A♦Q♠
Tan Kean Wei: 10♠10♣
The J♣6♠4♠9♥4♥ board changed nothing and Chidwick quickly left the tournament area.
Following an open raise by Hans Liu, Aram Oganyan pushed all-in for 213,000 in the small blind and was called by the initial raiser.
Aram Oganyan: 5♣5♥
Hans Liu: A♠Q♣
The 10♥10♦4♦K♠10♠ board kept the pocket pair ahead all the way for the double.
Zeping Lu raised from the small blind with the A♠J♦ and then called the three-bet shove by Kai Xu for 220,000, getting shown the K♥7♥. The 10♣10♦3♠5♠J♣ board only helped Lu and that was it for Xu.
Cheng Cheng opened to 20,000 from under the gun and Jonathan Jaffe defended in the big blind.
The flop of 9♣J♦8♦ checked through and Jaffe bet 52,000 on the 5♥ turn. Cheng called. Jaffe then moved all in for 225,000 on the 9♥ river and Cheng called.
Jaffe showed the goods with 10♠7♠ for a straight, enough to crush the pair of eights of his opponent with A♥8♥ for a double.
Ignacio Moron raised to 24,000 and was called only by Jun Hao Wu in the big blind. On the 6♣4♥3♠ flop, Wu had 84,000 and check-called all-in when Moron bet 100,000.
Jun Hao Wu: K♦5♦
Ignacio Moron: Q♣J♣
The J♦ turn paired up Moron and the 8♥ river knocked out Wu.
