Eliminated 100-108th Place ($629)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sandoval Gunned Down

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Joseph Gunn
Joseph Gunn

Daniel Mingus opened to 30,000 under the gun and was three-bet to 100,000 by Joseph Gunn in the cutoff. Daniel Sandoval then cold four-bet jammed for 400,000 in the big blind.

Mingus went Full Sherman, going into the tank for several minutes before finding a clearly painful fold, with Gunn calling and quickly turning over two aces behind.

"I folded queens!" exclaimed Mingus upon seeing Gunn's aces.

Daniel Sandoval: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Joseph Gunn: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

"Seven," said Sandoval, seeing the uncomplying flop {3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} come onboard. The turn {k-Diamonds} followed.

"Seven!" said Sandoval once more, down to his final chance. No seven came, with the river falling {k-Spades} to earn Gunn the pot of nearly 1 million and send Sandoval to payouts. With the pot, Gunn now has 1.02 million, making him the first player to reach seven figures in the tournament.

Dodson Doubles Buckley, Then Busts

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ryan Dodson
Ryan Dodson

Adrian Buckely opened on the button and saw Ryan Dodson defend his big blind, bringing a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Dodson checked, Buckley continuation-bet 27,000, and Dodson check-raised to 67,000.

"All in," responded Buckley, and Dodson asked for a count while saying he was probably calling but he needed to verify. "Oh, you have value?!" Buckley responded. His stack was totaled to be 256,000 and Dodson called, confirming he was trying to make it look like he had a draw.

Adrian Buckley: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Ryan Dodson: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Dodson had Buckely drawing to three eights and three tens as counterfeit outs, and unfortunately for him one hit on the turn {8-Spades}. The river {9-Spades} completed the runout and Buckley earned the double with aces and eights.

Moments later, Dodson got his last 15 big blinds in on the button preflop against Coleman Hughes, who was in the cutoff.

Ryan Dodson: {a-}{10-}
Coleman Hughes: {q-}{q-}

"And he flopped a set," filled in Dodson on the final blow.

Kotliarsky Knocks Out Cyr

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Kotliarsky
Alex Kotliarsky

Jerry Cyr open-jammed for 44,000 in the small blind and Alex Kotliarsky called in the big blind.

Jerry Cyr: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Alex Kotliarsky: {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Cyr was in a coin flip against the "computer hand" and saw the flop {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} give Kotliarsky two pair. A running {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} came to leave Kotliarsky's hand best and Cyr was eliminated from the tournametn.

Dean Doubles; Bubble Bursts

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Slater Dean
Slater Dean

Brian Beck opened in early position and was three-bet by Slater Dean in the small blind. Beck called to bring a flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, where Dean jammed for 142,000 more. Beck called.

Slater Dean: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Brian Beck: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The floor announced another elimination had ensued, bringing the tournament just one elimination from bursting the bubble, putting Dean at immediate risk of becoming the Bubble Boy. Instead, he was saved by running {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, making an eight-high straight to score the pot of nearly half a million.

A moment later, Ben Jensen was all in for his remaining chips having received action from Cy Church.

Ben Jensen: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Cy Church: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Jensen flopped a backdoor flush draw and gutshot wheel draw on {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, but running {k-Spades}{6-Clubs} left him dry as Church scooped the pot with top set and eliminated Jensen in 109th place.

All remaining 108 players are now in the money.

Tournament Nearing the Bubble

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Bally's Black Hawk
Bally's Black Hawk

The last few eliminations have come with announcements from the floor announcing the number of players remaining in the tournament, ticking down one by one as players continue to fall. One of the most recent eliminations was that of Anthony Karahalios, who had a flush with {5-}{4-}-suited and got stacks in against the two pair, aces and tens of Travis Miller, only to see Miller fill up on a board-pairing river to knock him out in 11th place.

Aragon Ousted

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mariah Aragon on Day 1
Mariah Aragon on Day 1

Roger Low opened to 20,000 under the gun and action folded around to Scott Horvath, who called in the small blind. Mariah Aragon was in the big blind and went all in for 31,000, with both players calling to take future action to a side pot.

The flop dropped {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Horvath checked. Low grabbed 25,000 and set it onto the felt, causing a quick fold from Horvath. His bet was pushed back to him and hands were tabled.

Mariah Aragon: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Roger Low: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

"Nice hand," said Aragon, tapping the felt upon seeing herself needing running cards to stay alive. The turn {6-Spades} squashed any chance of that, leaving her dead to the river {8-Clubs} to bring about her elimination from the tournament.
