KM Soars to the Lead; Brooks Jams Again

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a four-way min-raised pot without any action to the KJ2104 river, Gareth Kalil checked and Wesley Wiegand bet 30,000. Patrice Ah-Nien folded before KM asked for the bet size and raised to 80,000 after using one time bank.

Kalil got out of the way and Wiegand declared "I am not slow rolling you" before he also used a time bank extension as well, suspecting to see the nut flush on the other side of the table. Eventually, Wiegand called and KM indeed tabled the A7.

"Queen-high flush," Wiegand replied but didn't show his cards when KM asked.

Over on the other table, Harold Brooks got two shoves through. The second time was against Alvin Pillay, who had opened to 15,000 and then folded the AQ. Brooks flashed his J10 before collecting the pot.

Ah-Nien Stops the Downfall

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Patrice Ah-Nien raised to 10,000 and was called by Gareth Kalil in the small blind. Wesley Wiegand in the big blind asked for Ah-Nien's stack size and then came along to the K65 flop. It checked to Ah-Nien and he bet 18,000, only Kalil called.

After the A turn, Ah-Nien bet another 20,000 for Kalil to check-call and they checked the 8 on the river.

Kalil announced a king and then mucked the K10 with a lot of frustration when Ah-Nien had him pipped with the A4.

Alvin Pillay raised to 14,000, then got out of the way when Hennie Appel jammed the cutoff for 125,000 and Banks Solomons called on the button. "I would have had a decision," Pillay said as he mucked the AJ face-up.

Over on the other table, Caleb October jammed for around the size of the pot into chip leader Wesley Wiegand on the K105Q5 river and got through with it.

Gareth Kalil then check-raised the Q54 flop from 15,000 to 35,000 and Patrice Ah-Nien folded once more to fall further behind.

Wiegand Beats KM in Showdown

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

While the hand was going on, Wesley Wiegand and KM were talking about previous unfoldings on the table with KM insisting Wiegand had tilted another player on the table previously Wiegand replied that he had had only 60k behind in a particular hand with the nut flush draw.

"You called for one card ... just don't flush me," KM declared when he then bet the Q624 turn for 17,000, before Wiegand called. KM gritted his teeth and checked the 4 river when the flush was possible.

Wiegand checked behind and KM announced king-high, but never showed his cards as he mucked to the 1010 of Wiegand.
