Pfeifer Crosses 100K

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Randy Pfeifer just won a huge pot over at Table 5 to eliminate a player, and he's all smiles now with more than 130,000 in chips. It looks like he's the overwhelming leader early on. Here's a look at some other stacks around the room:

Bad Beat Jackpot!

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

The Western New York Poker Challenge isn't the only thing generating excitement here at the Seneca Poker Room. The Bad Beat Jackpot is currently more than $141,000!

Seneca Poker Room Manager Amanda Scarcelli told us that the jackpot is the biggest it has been since 2010. This room is completely filled right now with not only tournament players, but cash game grinders looking to hit that big score. The qualifying losing hand is a minimum of quad twos, and both of your hole cards must be used to be eligible.

If you want a piece of the jackpot, get down here before the list grows this evening.

Double for Sharman Olshan

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Action folded around to the player in the small blind, who completed his option, and Sharman Olshan moved all in for 2,500 from the big. Her opponent reluctantly tossed in chips for a call, and the cards went on their backs.

Olshan's {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} was in front of her opponent's {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and the {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Clubs} secured her double to 5,400.

Leonardi Triples Up; Salhab Crippled

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Budwey Salhab called us over to the table as he was moving all in on a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}. Salhab had jammed over the top of Carol Leonardi's shove for 16,500, and another player called behind Salhab, having both covered.

Leonardi: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Salhab: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Player 3: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Leonardi was best in the set-over-set cooler situation, and the {8-Diamonds} turn and {8-Spades} river improved her to tens-full. Salhab won the small side pot and was left with around 5,000.
