Moneymaker Puts Rabichow to the Test

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Kevin Rabichow
Kevin Rabichow

Chris Moneymaker was on the button in a heads-up pot against Kevin Rabichow in the cutoff on a board of {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Rabichow checked on the turn and Moneymaker bet 8,000. Rabichow called. Rabichow checked again on the {3-Clubs} river and Moneymaker put him to the test by putting out a stack of blue chips to put Rabichow all in for his final 18,000 or so. The poker coach folded.

Moneymaker eliminated a player in a flush versus flush cooler but has taken a hit since then as his green 25,000 chip was missing from his stack.

Robbi Jade Lew

Robbi Jade Lew opened to 1,000 from under the gun and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades} and the action checked to Lew who bet 2,000. The small blind called and the big blind got out of the way.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and the small blind led out with a bet of 2,000. Lew called and the {8-Spades} on the river put four spades on the board. The small blind made a small bet of 1,400 and Lew countered with a raise to 3,000. Her opponent quickly called and Lew turned over {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for the best hand.

"Come on don't do it to me," Russo said, as he needed to fade a club to hold with his straight.

The dealer did not disappoint him as it came the {k-Hearts} to give him the successful double-up.
