Jachtmann Drags in a Pot

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann's raise was called by Matthias De Meulder in the small blind and Moritz Dietrichin the big blind. On a flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, the action checked to Jachtmann and the partypoker team pro from Germany moved all in. De Meulder asked for a count and the shove was for 219,000.

De Meulder folded, as did Moritz, and the pot was shipped to Jachtmann.

Filatov Takes on Benoit

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A raise to 25,000 was in front of Anatoly Filatov and Benjamin Benoit in the hijack three-bet to 55,000. Filatov clicked it up to 165,000 and Benoit called. After a four-bet between both big stacks preflop, no further action would follow as the duo checked down the board of {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Filatov showed {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a pair of aces and Benoit flashed his two cards, revealing the {A-Spades}, before sending them into the muck.

Short Break Before Final Table Kicks Off

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Once the last nine were determined, the second table played one hand still that saw Sander van Wesemael get through with a shove before all moved their chips for the unofficial final table. A short break of 10 minutes is now in order before the last nine recommence and try to play down to a champion tonight.

Schuh Eliminated by Benoit

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Michal Schuh
Michal Schuh

We join the action in a hand between Michal Schuh and Benjamin Benoit, on a {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board, with roughly 60,000 in the middle. Schuh checked over to Benoit, who bet out 37,000, before Schuh raised all-in for around 200,000.

Benoit called instantly, turning over {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair top kicker, and the nut flush draw. Schuh's {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} was in horrible shape, and he failed to pair up on the {7-Diamonds} river, meaning he finished the High Roller in 10th place, bursting our final table bubble.

Filatov Doubles with Aces

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A big pot was brewing between Sander van Wesemael and Anatoly Filatov, and until the turn of a board {Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, more than 270,000 were already in the middle with a three-bet preflop and a continuation bet and call on the flop. Filatov moved all in for his last 308,000 out of the small blind and received the call he was looking for.

Anatoly Filatov: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Sander van Wesemael: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {2-Hearts} river didn't change anything anymore and Filatov doubled to get back into contention.

Sick Setup Late On

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Manig Loeser opened under the gun with a raise to 20,000, before Jan-Peter Jachtmann moved all-in next to act. Action folded back to Loeser who quickly called off his 157,000 stack before fast-rolling his {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Jachtmann sighed loudly as he tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was of little help to Jachtmann, although he did pick up outs to a straight on the {8-Clubs} turn. The river paired the {10-Hearts}, though, and Loeser picked up a full double.

Big Double for De Meulder; Jachtmann Gets Shown a Bluff

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Matthias De Meulder and Anatoly Filatov clashed on a flop pf {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. With 87,000 in the middle, De Meulder checked first to act and Filatov on the button bet 35,000. De Meulder check-raised all in for 271,000 in total and Filatov eventually called.

Matthias De Meulder: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Anatoly Filatov: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Filatov had to fear both over cards and a nine in order to avoid a big setback, and De Meulder got there thanks to the {J-Clubs} turn. The {7-Clubs} river was a blank and the Belgian doubled up.

Over on the other table, Jan-Peter Jachtmann check-called a bet of 100,000 by Van Tiep Nguyen on the {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{K-Hearts} turn and checked again the {Q-Hearts} river. Nguyen made it 170,000 to go, representing almost half of Jachtmann's remaining stack, and the German sighed before eventually folding.

Nguyen turned over {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the partypoker pro said just one word: "Nice."

Michaelis Loses Flip to Bust

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Paul Michaelis
Paul Michaelis

Paul Michaelis had previously folded to a three-bet shove of Michal Schuh and was soon after in action again. This time it was a flip for his tournament life, and Benjamin Benoit had him well covered.

Paul Michaelis: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Benjamin Benoit: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The board of {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} improved the Frenchman and Michaelis bowed out in 11th place.
