Karakitukov Doesn't Fall Into Lovric's Trap

Veselin Karakitukov raised to 60,000 on the button with A♦Q♣10♠10♦ and Florian Langmann and Filip Lovric came along from the blinds.

The flop came A♠10♥8♥ and Karakitukov continued for 125,000 with his set. Langmann folded, but Lovric called with A♥K♠J♥8♣.

The 2♥ turn gave Lovric the nut flush and he checked. Karakitukov this time checked back and they saw the 6♥ fall on the river.

Lovric checked again and Karakitukov tapped the felt as Lovric could only let out a laugh and slam his cards on the table before picking up the pot.

Tomas Ribeiro limped in with A♦10♣4♥3♦ from the cutoff, Vadim Zakharyan raised to 100,000 in the small blind with K♥K♦9♥9♣, and Veselin Karakitukov called Q♠J♠6♥5♦ in the big blind.

Ribeiro also called and they went three-handed to the 3♥7♥10♠ flop, where Ribeiro made two pair and Zakharyan picked up a flush draw to go with his kings. He led out for 325,000 and only Ribeiro called.

The 2♥ turn gave Zakharyan his flush and he moved all in for 450,000. Ribeiro went into his time bank cards before he mucked.

Yanovski then moved all in for 195,000 and Karakitukov snap-called.

Yanovski was looking to complete the nut flush draw but found no help on the 6♦ turn or 10♦ river as he became the first casualty of the final table.

On the first hand of the final table, Veselin Karakitukov raised to 50,000 in the cutoff with Q♦A♣J♥4♥ and Leonid Yanovski defended 9♥7♣6♠5♥.

The flop came 9♣Q♥7♥ and Karakitukov continued for 60,000. Yanovski called with two pair, but the 6♥ turn improved Karakitukov to a flush.

Both players checked to the A♦ river, where Yanovski led out for 85,000. Karakitukov tanked for a moment before calling and claiming the first pot.
