Bogert Wins Two in a Row, Syrigos Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Cory Bogert won two hands in a row. First, against the chip leader William Haner, who also has beated him in several hands heads up. Second, against Nick Syrigos, in which he eliminated Syrigos when he hit a king on the river.

On the first hand, Bogert limped the button. Chris Moneymaker called and Haner raised to 7,000. Bogert called and Moneymaker folded.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} and Haner led out for another 7,000. Bogert called.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Haner led out for 12,000. Bogert called and won the hand with {j-}{10-}.

On the second hand, Peter Brooks and Ed McPike both limped in early position before Bogert raised to 10,000. Nick Syrigos called from the small blind and the remaining players folded.

On the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, Syrigos shoved all in for his remaining 29,700. Bogert took his time to decide, and eventually decided to call. He had {a-}{k-} against the pocket tens of Syrigos.

The board completed {6-Spades}{k-Hearts}, putting a king on the river and giving Bogert the pot. Syrigos hit the rail and there are 12 players remaining in this flight.

Jeff Landherr Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jeff Landherr has spent the latter part of the day working a short stack and picking up chips here and there. His luck finally ran out when he was eliminated a little more than 30 minutes into level 13.

Landherr Scrapping

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

After several all in shoves, Jeff Landherr is still around. All of his recent shoves have gotten through and apparently he's been showing a few of his weaker offerings.

On this hand, William Haner raised to 4,500 and Nick Syrigos called. Then Landherr shoved all in for 27,000 and both players folded. Landherr showed {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Shuffling Chips

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The chips haven't made any significant changes over the last few hands:

  • Ryan Tepen opened the button for 4,500 into Michael Kamenjarin's small blind. Kamenjarin paused for a moment before making it 16,000 and Tepen folded.
  • At the table next door, Ed McPike limped under the gun and then called a 7,000 raise by Chris Moneymaker. McPike checked dark and Moneymaker bet the flop. McPike folded quickly.
