Southern Takes it Down

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In a raised pot, the flop was {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and early positioned Stuart Southern checked to his heads up opponent in middle positon, Dominic Sakal, who then bet 25,000.

Southern threw out a call and the two players saw the turn {k-Clubs}. Both players decided to check their action and the dealer put out the river {5-Diamonds}.

This time Southern led out for 100,000 and after a few moments, Sakal sighed and threw his cards in the muck, awarding Southern the pot.

Patel Gets River Value

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Mirang Patel opened to 20,000 from late position but was then quickly three-bet to 85,000 by Lewis Russell in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Patel who thought for a few seconds before making the call.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and both players decided to check to the turn {3-Clubs}.

Patel then led out for a small wager of 15,000 and was called by Russell.

The river fell the {4-Diamonds} and saw Patel lead out again, this time for 80,000. Rusell took some time to think about it, he cut out the necessary chips and compared it to the rest of his stack; if he called he would be left with less than 100,000.

He eventually slid out calling chips and was shown {k-Spades}{j-Spades} by Patel for a flopped two-pair and Russel somberly mucked his hand.

Scollins Doubles Through Melin

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sin Melin raised to 21,000 from under the gun and got three callers including Mark Scollins in middle position as well as the big blind.

The four players checked the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and the big blind checked the {5-Clubs} turn to Melin who bet 55,000. One player folded and Scollins raised all in for 84,000. The big blind folded and Melin called.

Mark Scollins: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Sin Melin: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Melin needed to hit her gutshot to eliminate Scollins, but his pair of kings held on the {9-Hearts} river and he doubled up.

Turn No Good for Burston

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jodie Burston found herself all in and at-risk preflop against Christopher Collier to her right.

Jodie Burston: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Christopher Collier: {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

"Give us an action flop." a player at the table said, and indeed it was as it came {q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades} which paired Burston's queen but gave Collier an open-ender.

The turn was not favorable to Burston as the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn to give Collier a straight to the five. Burton still had hope as she now had a flush draw, but the {6-Hearts} on the river did not do it as Collier improved his straight and Burston was eliminated.

Ahmed Moves Above 1.2 Million Chips

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action was on a {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} river with 160,000 chips in the middle. Danial Ahmad checked to John Blanchard who bet 110,000.

Ahmad eventually called, with Blanchard pointing towards him and tabling {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for nine-high. His opponent showed {10-Hearts}{6-Spades} for two pair — tens and deuces — and won the pot, moving above 1,200,000 chips.
