Jozonis Gives Up Two to Abreu and Buhaiov

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Tomas Jozonis raised to 225,000 in early position and Jorge Abreu defended QJ.

Both players checked to the river on a board of KKQ47, when Abreu bet 400,000 with two pair. Jozonis folded.

A few hands later, Jozonis opened to 225,000 on the button with K7 and Nazar Buhaiov called in the small blind holding 55.

The Q44 flop was checked through, and Buhaiov led out for 200,000 on the 9 turn. Jozonis once again gave up his hand.

Jorge Abreu

Enrico Coppola opened to 225,000 in early position with AJ. It folded to chipleader Jorge Abreu in the big blind, who defended 87 before he led out for 100,000 on the 5A4 flop.

Coppola just called to the 8 turn. Hitting a pair did not slow down Abreu as he fired a sizable 800,000 into the pot. Coppola snap-folded his top pair as even more chips were shipped to Abreu.

Abreu Extends His Lead

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Thierry Gogniat picked up AA in middle position and raised to 200,000, but he received no callers and took down the blinds and ante.

Jorge Abreu then raised to 200,000 under the gun and Nazar Buhaiov called in the cutoff.

Abreu bet 100,000 on the A42 flop, and Buhaiov called. Abreu checked the 6 turn, Buhaiov bet 750,000, and Abreu called.

Both players checked down the 3 river, and Abreu showed A3 for two pair. Buhaiov mucked K10.

Casimir Seire made it 200,000 to go in middle position. Jorge Abreu flat-called on the button before Thierry Gogniat pushed in his last 210,000 from the small blind.

Seire and Abreu both called and checked through the AK108A board.

Gogniat tabled J10 for a pair of tens, quadrupling to a stack of eight big blinds by besting the 99 of Seire and the Q5 of Abreu.

On the next deal, Gogniat committed his new stack of 830,000 with Q10 on the button and captured the blinds and antes by getting two folds.

Sami Bechahed raised to 230,000 in the cutoff and Jorge Abreu called on the button. Joris Ruijs also came along from the small blind, while Thierry Gogniat, who had half his stack already in the middle from the big blind, elected to get out of the way.

Action checked to Abreu on the 952 flop and he bet 250,000. Ruijs called, and Bechahed then raised to 725,000. Abreu called, but Ruijs then moved all in for 2,520,000.

Bechahed folded JJ, while Abreu called to create a massive pot with nearly 7,000,000 at stake.

Joris Ruijs: 55 All in
Jorge Abreu: 43

Ruijs showed a set of fives, while Abreu had straight and flush draws. The 6 turn gave Abreu a straight, and Ruijs needed the board to pair on the river to survive. The dealer turned over the A, and Ruijs' Main Event run came to an end in ninth place.

Seire and Buhaiov Get It In First Hand

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Casimir Seire
Casimir Seire

During the first hand of the final table, Nazar Buhaiov made it 200,000 to go in the cutoff, and Casimir Seire three-bet to 600,000 on the button.

Buhaiov clicked it back 1,350,000, after which Seire moved all in for 4,230,000. Buhaiov snap-called to put Seire at risk.

Casimir Seire: AK All in
Nazar Buhaiov: AK

Seire managed to avoid disaster as the K998Q runout did not pose a threat to either player, and they happily chopped up the pot.
