Kuznetsov Cracks Aces to Climb Further

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov checked from the hijack on a 8Q3J turn. Evgenii Aleksandrov was in the hijack and added 20,000 to the pot of 40,000 with a bet. Kuznetsov weighed his options for a while before he called.

The 10 appeared as the river. Kuznetsov checked once more, seeing Aleksandrov quickly check behind. Kuznetsov showed Q9 for a straight, leaving the AA of Aleksandrov in the dust.

Overbet Adds More to Rubiralta's Ever-Growing Stack

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gerard Rubiralta raised to 2,000 in early position. It folded to Oleksii Trofymenko in the big blind, and he defended.

Trofymenko check-called Rubiralta's continuation-bet of 4,000 on the K89 flop, after which both players checked the 9 turn. Trofymenko also checked the 7 river, but Rubiralta reaggressed with a massive bet of 20,500.

Trofymenko did not take long before he sent his cards into the muck, forfeiting the pot to the table chipleader.

In a blind-on-blind battle, Nikita Kuznetsov and Lucas Blanco had reached the 249A5 river. Kuznetsov checked it over to Blanco, who moved all in for 26,000, around a pot-sized bet.

Kuznetsov went deep into the tank. Eventually, the clock was called on him. His 30-second countdown was nearing its end when Kuznetsov tossed in a calling chip.

Blanco could only show a bluff with K7, and Kuznetsov triumphantly tabled 74 for the winning pair of fours.
