Pinville Outkicked and Busts

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Thibault Reverdito
Thibault Reverdito

Christopher Dowling opened the betting from the cutoff to 100,000, and small blind Michel Pinville called with less than a million chips behind. Big blind Thibault Reverdito decided to three-bet all in for slightly more than Pinville's stack, getting a quick fold from Dowling. Pinville was not going anywhere, however, and called just as quickly.

Michel Pinville: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Thibault Reverdito: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out hopelessly for Pinville: {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and he took his leave from the table and the tournament.

Hallaert Puts Geraume to the Test; Pinville and Piton Bust

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

Action was caught on the river, with just over 1,000,000 in the pot on the {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board.

Eric Geraume, with around 475,000 behind, checked from early position before Kenny Hallaert jammed as the slightly bigger stack.

Geraume went into the tank for five minutes before the clock was called. As the floor began the countdown, Geruame called.

Both players tabled {k-}{10-} for a pair of ten-high straights and the pot was shared.

As the hand played out, Aristide Piton was eliminated on an outer table.

Morvan Fires Three

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Romain Morvan raised his button for the minimum amount of 100,000. Both small blind Diogo Vieira and big blind Julien Sitbon called the raise, and the three of them were off to a flop.

{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} is what the dealer put out. The action checked to Morvan who put out another bet, this time for 70,000. Vieira called, while Sitbon got out of the way.

On the {2-Hearts} turn Vieira checked once more and Morvan decided upon a sizing of 160,000 for his bet this time. Again, Vieira called.

The river {a-Clubs} saw Vieira checking for the third time. Morvan pondered his options for a while before grabbing a stack of chips and putting it in the middle, leaving himself only a single T-5000 chip behind. Vieira's calling streak ended at this point, as the 555,000 bet did not get looked up, and instead he threw his cards into the muck.

Mambour Cracks Kings

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Didier Mambour was in the big blind in a heads-up pot against Blaz Zerjav in middle position and got his stack of 650,000 in on the board of {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Didier Mambour: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Blaz Zerjav: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Mambour had turned two pair and was able to crack the kings of his opponent as the {q-Diamonds} bricked off on the river to earn him the double.

Sonny Franco
Sonny Franco

Sonny Franco jammed for 350,000 from the cutoff and was called by Alan Goasdoue from the small blind.

Sonny Franco: {j-}{10-}
Alan Goasdoue: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Franco paired up on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop, but the {10-Hearts} turn gave his opponent broadway. Franco was drawing to a full house but was eliminated following the {k-Hearts} river.

Zocchetti Falls to De Jong

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ludovic Zocchetti was all in and at risk against the bigger-stacked Willem de Jong.

Ludovic Zocchetti: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Willem de Jong: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Zocchetti was dominated and couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to mark his elimination.

Break Begins

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The opening two hours of the FPS Main Event have been action-packed, with the field of 61 being reduced to 40 already.

Those remaining players are now on a 20-minute break.

Levy Gets a Much-Needed Double-Up

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Shortly before the break, the action folded around to small blind Loic Vaux. After gauging big blind Jordan Levy's stack, he decided to put his neighbor all in for about five big blinds. Levy quickly put his chips in the middle, hoping to get twice as many back.

Jordan Levy: {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Loic Vaux: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Levy was elated with the window card as the flop spelled {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. After the {2-Diamonds} turn, there were no rivers left that could grant Vaux the victory, and as the inconsequential {5-Diamonds} river rolled off, he quickly paid his debt.
