Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Crouan Gets Kings Cracked by Queens Full

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Thierry Delpui opened to 10,000 in middle position and Alexandre Crouan three-bet jammed a stack of 43,000 from the hijack. Delpui gave it some thought and called with a bigger stack.

Alexandre Crouan: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Thierry Delpui: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

"Oh, wow!" Crouan reacted when he saw the strength of his opponent's holding.

The flop landed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to give Delpui queens full of jacks and Crouan couldn't hit a two-outer as the board finished out {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} to mark his elimination. Crouan took the bad beat in stride and snapped a picture of the board on his way out.

Saint-Bertin Down But Not Out

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action was first caught on a {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board where three players were battling for the 60,000 chips already in the middle. Saint-Bertin checked from the big blind, which prompted his neighbor Joseph Chetrit to bet 30,000. After taking some time to think, Tomas de Couto folded his hand from the button, while Saint-Bertin called to see the {9-Clubs} river. This time Chetrit bet 25,000 after Saint-Bertin checked again, which was enough for Saint-Bertin to lay his hand down.

Manoe Betrix got his stack of around 100,000 in on the very next hand against Saint-Bertin in a preflop all-in situation. The cards were tabled:

Manoe Betrix: {a-}{a-}
Laurent Saint-Bertin: {q-}{q-}

The board ran out uneventfully, winning Betrix the pot and leaving Saint-Bertin with a stack of around six big blinds.

Steeve Sultan

The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Geraume put out a bet of 16,000 after a check from Sultan, which was enough to let Sultan lay his hand down.

After the action, the floor swept in to break the table as the bust-outs have been going rapidly so far on Day 2.
