Lim Doubles into Chip Lead

Level 17
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

Yake Wu opened to 90,000 and Isaac Haxton called. Chin Wei Lim then three-bet all in for 795,000. Wu called and Haxton folded.

Yake Wu: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Chin Wei Lim: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Wu looked poised to take an even bigger chip lead, but two queens on the {6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop and no further help for Wu on the {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} runout saw Lim doubled into the chip lead.

Wu Extends Chip Lead

Level 17

Mikhail Rudoy opened to 30,000 and Yake Wu raised on the button to 105,000. Rudoy called but check-folded to a continuation bet of 130,000 from Wu on the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} flop.

Wu's rapid ascent to the top of the chip counts has seen him come from the pack to hold over a third of the chips in play four-handed.

Wu into the Chip Lead

Level 17

Isaac Haxton checked a {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Spades} board to Chin Wei Lim who bet 70,000. Yake Wu raised in position to 150,000. Haxton folded and Lim called.

Lim checked the {10-Clubs} river and tank-folded to a bet of 175,000 from Wu.

This saw Wu overtake Lim at the top of the chip counts, although all three are bunched together.

Haxton Bests Lim

Level 16

Chin Wei Lim's stack has been steadily grinding down for a while. In this hand Isaac Haxton check-called 40,000 from Lim on a {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop and the pair then both checked the {a-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {q-Spades} and Haxton used a time extension before betting 45,000. Lim eventually called and Haxton showed {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} and took down the pot.

Haxton Doubles Through Lim on the River

Level 16

Isaac Haxton was all in for 384,000 with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} but had run into the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} of chip leader Chin Wei Lim.

The flop of {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Spades} didn't help Haxton, and the turn {9-Spades} took away one of his tens. However, it did give him an open-ended straight draw which he completed on the {7-Diamonds} river and he doubled up.

Lim Continues Dominance

Level 15
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

On a {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} river, Chin Wei Lim checked to Mikhail Rudoy who bet 75,000 into a pot of just over 100,000.

Lim then check-raised to 260,000 and Rudoy used a time extension before calling.

Lim turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a rivered full house and Rudoy mucked.
