Soininen Seals Jattin's Fate

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Farid Jattin opened and then four-bet shoved for what looked like 260,000 chips with Niko Soininen making the call from one seat over. Jattin held the {7-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Soininen the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The flop {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} was a sweat for Jattin as he picked up an open-ended straight draw. However the rest of the board filled up with the {K-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river to send him to the rail.

Mercier Busts Bonomo

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Justin Bonomo moved all in for his last 52,000 and Jason Mercier called from one seat over in the hijack, all other players behind them folded.

Bonomo: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Mercier: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop fell {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} to give Bonomo a flush draw, but the {J-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river blanked to award the pot to the Team PokerStars Pro.

Down to Four Tables

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With the eliminations of [Removed:17], Dylan Linde and Sam Greenwood, the field has been reduced to 32 players and they will get balanced to the last four tables momentarily.

Making it Rain(er)

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Rainer Kempe has jumped into the chip lead and appears to be the first player past the one-million chip mark after busting Gilbert Diaz in a massive pot.

"Overpair versus a set," he told PokerNews. "Pretty standard."

Nevanlinna Doubles; Yastreb and Holz Don't

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

While Volodymyr Yastreb and Fedor Holz were unable to win their last all in, Jussi Nevanlinna did so in a coin flip situation. He was all in with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Mikita Badziakouski took the flip with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} to see the board run out {J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Badziakouski lost about half his stack and both players traded their spots in the overall counts.

Mercier Pushes on Bonomo

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

With a 250,000-chip pot in the middle and the board reading {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Jason Mercier pushed all in, effectively putting Justin Bonomo to a decision for his tournament life and last 140,000.

Bonomo passed and as Mercier crested the 700,000-chip mark, he was left with a little more than 11 big blinds.

Deeb not Deep Anymore

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After losing the previous big pot, Shaun Deeb now took a flip for a mere 30 big blinds with pocket sevens against the {A-}{K-} of Dzmitry Urbanovich. Since the king of the EPT and player of the previous season is still running like good, a king surely showed up on the river much to the surprise of nobody.

Sahamies Bests Deeb

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Shaun Deeb had just lost a pot to Ilari Sahamies in a battle of the blinds with an out-kicked ace-high when Sahamies made it 20,000 from the button.

Deeb called from the small blind and the big blind came along as well. The flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Deeb tank-led for 33,000. The big blind folded and Sahamies made the call. The turn brought the {4-Spades} and an even bigger bet from Deeb, who made it 77,000. Sahamies called again.

The {2-Diamonds} river got checked down with Deeb showing {a-}{8-} for the second hand in a row and Sahamies winning the pot with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Banicevic Doubles Through Steve O'Dwyer

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The pot was not really that big yet when Steve O'Dwyer check-raised all in after the river of a {8-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs} board out of the big blind. Initial preflop raiser Banicevic had bet 35,000 and then called all in for 168,000 to let O'Dwyer immediately sigh and let out a "f###". He was caught and showed {10-Spades}{6-} for a busted gutshot while Banicevic doubled with the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.
