Lots of Exits

We've lost quite a few players in this first level, the latest being Mike McDonald who was all in with {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against Andrew Lichtenberger's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} but couldn't get there on a {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board.

Busted

For Richer, For Paur-er

Taylor Paur opened to 2,000 from early position, getting called by Saar Wilf and Jean Noel Thorel. Paur fired out 3,500 on the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop but only Wilf made the call to see the {4-Spades} turn. Paur now bet 5,700 and Wilf again made the call and the dealer put out the {10-Spades} on the river.

Paur checked and after a think, Wilf checked back. The former turned over {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} which was surprisingly still good.

Mizzing in Action

Sorel Mizzi appears to be our first casualty of the day, it looked as though his chips had gone to tablemate Joao Viera

Six-Max

On the river of a {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board, Jean Noel Thorel bet 10,000 only for Max Greenwood to move in for a total of 32,700. Thorel didn't take too long in calling with {10-Spades}{7-Spades} but he found he had been rivered by his opponent's {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Helppi Doubles First Hand

On the very first hand of the day at his table, Juha Helppi has doubled up to nearly 100,000 in chips. He opened with a raise from under the gun to 2,300 and Ognjen Sekularac called from the next position. Andras Nemeth also made the call, sitting in the cutoff seat, and then Sorel Mizzi came along from the big blind to close the preflop action.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} and Mizzi checked. Helppi also checked before Sekularac fired 4,300. Nemeth made the call and Mizzi folded. Helppi took a minute and then check-raised all in for 40,900 total. Sekularac studied for some time, but folded his hand. Nemeth made the call, though, holding the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Helppi held the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and river the {10-Diamonds}. Helppi stayed in front and doubled up. Nemeth was left with 46,900 in chips.
