Tchkonia Punts a Huge Stack, Golubev the Benefactor

Andrey Golubev raised from under the gun and Tornike Tchkonia defended from the big blind.

On the Q♦J♣5♠ flop, Tchkonia checked, Golubev bet 6,000, Tchkonia raised to 37,000, and Golubev called.

An 8♠ rolled off on the turn and Tchkonia kept up the aggression with a bet of 82,000. After some time, Golubev called.

The 6♣ completed the board on the river and around two minutes of thinking, Tchkonia announced that he was all in for around 220,000. Before he could even get the chips in, Golubev had slam-dunked chips into the pot and called.

Tchkonia seemed very reluctant to show but eventually flipped K♦4♥ for a total bluff, and Golubev showed Q♣Q♥ for top set.
