McVicker Takes from Brooks

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 100 ante

Picking action up on the turn with about 8,500 in the middle and a board of A638, John Brooks bet 4,500 from under the gun and got raised by Jesse McVicker to 11,000 in middle position.

Following a late position fold, Brooks called and the dealer placed the 6 on the river.

The players then each checked, and McVicker declared "ace-ten", showing A1054 for aces and sixes, which was good enough to take down the pot.

Cetinkaya Scores an Early Double Up

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 100 ante

On a flop of Q103 after a bet from Sami Hamid in the small blind, Mehmet Cetinkaya got his last 21,000 in from middle position versus Zachary Hammons to his right after Hamid folded.

Mehmet Cetinkaya: J994
Zachary Hammons: QQ73

Hammons had the lead with his top set, but had to date the open-ended straight draw of Cetinkaya.

He wouldn't be able to though, as the K fell on the turn to complete that straight, and the 4 river couldn't pair the board to bail him out, sending the sizeable pot to Cetinkaya.
