Jonathan "chut_up" Van Fleet Takes One Back From "GangstaGo"

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 125 ante

Just before the break Jonathan "chut_up" Van Fleet was busted by table mate "GangstaGo", but after a lucky run out for the High Roller champion, Van Fleet made his chips back and then some.

"GangstaGo" made it 2,000 to go from middle position, and didn't hesitate to jam all-in holding {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} for 18,689 after Van Fleet reraised out of the small blind. Van Fleet called holding {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and was fortunate enough to flop a set on the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The turn {J-Spades} made things interesting, but the river {3-Hearts} was as blank as they come, and Van Fleet raked in the pot.

Simon "Isildur1337x" Mattson on an Upward Journey

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Sweden's Simon "Isildur1337x" Mattson have been grinding steadily for the last few hours, but just managed to take out a shortstack and move up to almost double the average.

Mattson called a 14 big blind shove holding {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and by making two pairs against the {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} of his opponent, he surged to the better half of the standings.

The Kings of Nicolau "nicofellow" Villa-Lobos Holds Up

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Nicolau "nicofellow" Villa-Lobos raised to 1,600 from the cutoff, before countryman "Fa.bi.ano" pushed all-in out of the small blind. Villa-Lobos wasted no time calling off his 19,721 chips, and the hands were on their backs.

Villa-Lobos: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
"Fa.bi.ano": {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and Villa-Lobos scooped the pot.

High Roller Champion Jonathan "chut_up" Van Fleet Get's a Fresh Start

Level 8 : 300/600, 70 ante

Less than a week ago Canada's Jonathan "chut_up" Van Fleet secured the victory after a thrilling final table of the Super XL Series High Roller. Despite the recent success, Van Fleet haven't really connected in this $1,050 Main Event yet and was just forced to make use of a rebuy to stay in contention for the title.

Van Fleet got his last 2,729 chips in the pot preflop, but his {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} couldn't quite secure the win against the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} of Ukranian "GangstaGo". Van Fleet is now at it again with a fresh stack of 20,000 chips.

Nicolas "PKaiser" Fierro Busts the Main Event

Level 8 : 300/600, 70 ante
Nicolas Fierro
Nicolas Fierro

Sweden's "Inho" came in for a raise to 1,380 from middle position before Nicolas "PKaiser" Fierro put his stack of 11,363 chips at risk a few folds later. The button and both blinds quickly got out of the way, but "Inho" made the call with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and was in great shape against the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} of Fierro.

The {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop brought a club draw for the Chilean, but it wasn't to be as the {2-Diamonds} and {7-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn and river. Fierro opted not to rebuy and left the tournament in 844th.
