Biography

Rich Alsup is an American poker player from Minnesota who is a two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner. As of June 2026, Alsup had almost $4 million in live poker tournament earnings.

Alsup won his first bracelet at the 2022 WSOP, where he took down the $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack for $272,065. Four years later, at the 2026 WSOP, Alsup came out on top of an 11,933-strong field in the $1,500 Monster Stack for his second gold bracelet and a new career-best score of $1,312,125. On the final hand of the Monster Stack, Salvatore Dicarlo was all-in with ace-king against Alsup's dominated ace-seven. However, a seven on the flop ultimately won Alsup the title.

“I just stayed positive and I just really felt it, that I was going to win when I won, and even on the last hand when I got it in with a (ace) seven against ace king, I just felt it was going to come,” said Alsup in the afterglow of his victory.

“I got a new baby run good, so that probably helped out a little bit. I’m just very thankful to get a big score and provide for my family.”

Alsup is a regular on the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) where he is an MSPT Hall of Fame member. He has more than 60 MSPT Main Event cashes to his name on the popular tour. He was the first-ever player to have combined prizes of over $1 million on the MSPT.
