Nicholas Seward

Biography

Nicholas Seward is an American professional poker player hailing from Washington, DC. He is best known for winning Event #31: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

According to the Hendon Mob Database, Seward's first recorded live cash came in October 2022, when he won a $400 buy-in event at the Venetian Las Vegas for $27,000. Between his first score and May 2023, he cashed in two dozen low-to-mid-stakes tournaments.

Seward headed to the 2023 WSOP and cashed in seven events. His deepest run was a 55th-place finish in the $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack. Sandwiched between his 2023 WSOP scores was an impressive $320,631 reward for finishing fourth in a $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament during The Wynn Summer Classic.

In the run-up to the 2024 WSOP, Seward banked $71,000 for a fourth-place finish in a $5,000 buy-in Deep Stack event at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. Seward went into the 2024 WSOP full of confidence, cashing in three events before taking down the $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em tournament for a career-best $516,135 and his first gold bracelet.
