Mike Holtz

Mike Holtz is an American poker player from Maryland who has two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and six WSOP Circuit rings. Holtz is also the co-host of the PokerNews Podcast with Chad Holloway.

All six of Holtz's WSOP Circuit rings come from online events; he won five of them in 2023. Holtz' first bracelet was also won online, in the $777 No-Limit Hold'em Lucky 7's event in 2022, a result that earned him $76,157.

Holtz may have an online poker background, but he also knows his way around a live poker table. In February 2023, Holtz was the runner-up in the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em EpicStack at the Venetian Las Vegas and collected $94,800.

After several near misses in live bracelet-awarding events over the years, Holtz finally won a live WSOP event at the 2026 WSOP. He was one of 2,013 entrants in Event #31: $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em, a fast-paced one-day event. Holtz emerged victoriously to scoop $238,097 and his first live bracelet, but his second overall.

"Feeling great. Pretty f**king cool, man. I'm so happy," Holtz told PokerNews shortly after the tournament finished. “It's been a long time coming, and I've always wanted a live bracelet. There is sort of a stigma with the online bracelet, like, oh blah blah blah. F**k them, baby. Daddy's got 2 now."

"I feel very vindicated. I feel like I won something on the big stage," he said. “I feel like this is a huge, huge moment for me, and I'm beyond happy. This is a life goal of mine. It's just crazy. I'm so happy."
