Matthew Higgins is an American poker player from Georgia, best known for winning the $1,000 Mystery Millions at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for $1 million.
Higgins already has almost $3 million in live poker tournament cashes before his bracelet victory, an impressive sum helped by his winning of nine WSOP Circuit rings. Prior to winning bracelet number one, Higgins had eight six-figure scores on his Hendon Mob profile, the largest of which was $222,091.
During his post-victory interview with PokerNews, Higgins revealed he'd been running bad since winning a WSOPC ring in Choctaw in November 2025.
"This morning when I woke up, I just knew (I would win). This is a huge confidence builder. Like I said, I'm in probably on a $300,000 downswing since I won the Choctaw Main Event in November, so it's huge. Massive."
