Honghao Zhang is an American poker player who is best known for winning Event #13: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em at the 2026 WSOP in Las Vegas. Zhang had never cashed in a WSOP event prior to this victory, meaning his first WSOP score was for a cool $346,108 and a coveted gold bracelet.
Zhang, a PhD student at Georgia Tech at the time of his bracelet win, has cashes dating back to December 2023. Most of those cashes were from WSOP Circuit events and under $1,000. However, in December 2025, Zhang finished second in a $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em side event at the WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas for $355,110.
